Moving abroad is one of life's biggest transitions. Whether you're in Australia, the UK, the US, Qatar, or anywhere else in the world, Digi Therapy connects you with therapists who understand the Nepali experience โ in English or Nepali, at hours that work in your time zone.
The Diaspora Experience
Nepal has one of the world's highest rates of outbound migration โ over 5 million Nepalis live abroad, with the largest populations in Qatar, Malaysia, India, South Korea, Australia, the UK, and the USA. This diaspora faces a distinct set of mental health challenges: cultural identity strain, loneliness in a new country, discrimination, visa and immigration stress, pressure to send remittances, guilt about leaving family behind, and grief over distance from loved ones. Access to Nepali-speaking or culturally-aware therapists in host countries is extremely limited. Digi Therapy fills this gap with therapists who understand both the cultural context of Nepal and the experience of living abroad.

Therapy can absolutely help you process the psychological impact of difficult working conditions โ including anxiety, depression, anger, and feelings of powerlessness. A therapist can also help you think through your options and build the resilience needed to navigate a very difficult situation. Note that Digi Therapy is not a legal service, but we can refer you to relevant support organisations.
Very common. 'Survivor guilt', homesickness, and grief about leaving family behind are among the most frequent topics Nepalis abroad bring to therapy. You are not alone in feeling this way, and therapy can help you process these feelings rather than suppress them.
You don't need to navigate the pressures of life abroad alone. A qualified therapist who understands the Nepali experience is just one online session away.
